Year End Accounts
Conall Dunne & Company has experience preparing school accounts as per the formats required by the Financial Support Services Unit (FSSU) and the Education act 1998.
Principals and treasurers
We provide assistance to principals and treasurers in all areas of school finance. For example, we have provided assistance to schools in their insurance renewals in terms of both the level of cover and the premiums paid.
We help to provide a better understanding of the accounts so that all reserves and restricted reserves are fully understood and recorded correctly in the school reports.
Payroll
As part of our services to schools we provide a payroll service to meet the schools requirements for ancillary staff.
This service means that schools do not have to have their own payroll software.
RCT & VAT
Revenue have indicated that all schools are ‘principal contractors’ with reference to relevant contract tax. As such, boards of management are responsible for complying with RCT rules and applying the VAT ‘reverse charge’ rules when making payments to the contractor.
At Conall Dunne & Company, we offer a service to ensure that your compliance needs with reference to RCT and VAT are fully dealt with.
Monthly/quarterly reporting
Whilst the requirements of FSSU and the education act 1998 only require annual accounts to be prepared, many school patrons and boards of management are requesting management accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis. We work with the stakeholders to provide enhanced management accounts in line with their requirements. Often the preparation of accounts on a more regular basis can allow us to get a greater insight into the school accounts and help to create more value for the school in line with our mission.
